VAB compared to the server badge does not have such great impact, but it is still useful as verified administrators are listed on their own, separate page.
Being on that page does not guarantee increase in player base, but it’s way better to be there.
Don’t miss on this option as it is affordable and it’s overall effect might turn to be positive for your server.
